What do you need to start an online business from scratch, here are just few tips to launch your online presence.

Domain Name

Make your life easier and your online business more succesful by chosing your domain name wisely. My number one recommendation when buying a domain is to include the keyword(s) of the service you’re offering, at the same time let it be easy to remember and not too long. If the domain name isn’t available try services such as GoDaddy Auctions and you will be surprised how many great domains are for sale for only few bucks.

Web Hosting

Reliable, fast server with good customer support is crucial part of your internet business, not only that you want your site to load fast for your visitors but also very important for Search Engines such as Google. Google rewards fast sites and doesn’t those who are slow and not available all the time.

Content Management System (CMS)

Well this part is simple, get WordPress. Since the beginning and that was back in 2003 I am using WordPress as my only Content Management System. All my clients are on WordPress and not just for blogging.

Social Media Advertising

Number one in my book is Twitter from where you can interact with people all over the country and around the world. Twitter works instantly and there is no cost whatsoever. Facebook helped many businesses succeed online and you should use them at your advantage.

Write Articles

Immediately after you setup all the above, start writing unique content for your website, make sure that every article is dedicated for one specific page, don’t write the same thing all over the website because that doesn’t help. Google is getting smarter every day and they will recognize it in right away.

Press Releases

Now that you covered some basic steps and your website is no longer a “ghost” start publishing some Press Releases, as for the beginning write and publish one Press Release each week and make that 4 Press Releases per month.

Content is still a King and it will be for a long time, however we don’t want to rely just on that, social media is very important and crucial part of any business who wants to prosper online.
