Google New Design (Update)

New Design, second draft

As I already blogged about Google New Design 10 days ago, well I think that the changes are final this time.

(Update 1/20/10 @1:04AM CST) – My hope was ruined, the wildest guess is that our friends on Google are testing their new design, we’re already back to old and boring) :-(

The above screenshot was the very first draft Google tested on 01/10/10, nice blue gradient buttons, with some changes in Google logo. As you can see the logo colors are bit brighter and the shadow was reduced.

Few moments ago the second draft was released, hopefully this time this is the final design. Logo stays the same, however the search form borderline is changed from blue to gray, as well as (Google Search and I’m Felling Lucky button)

On Google search results, under the new Google logo we have nice accordion iconized menu where Google made things much easier to navigate and search for. Search button next to search form is as well changed from the first blue gradient button, to cool gray.

All right Google, I am really hoping that this time you will leave your changes permanently and that I won’t be the only one that can see what you come up with. You know what they say about the people that can see things what other can’t? Don’t make be …. this time please.

Comment if you like,

google.com today launches new interface

I am not sure if anyone of you already experienced the brand new look from Google.com. In case that you didn’t, here are some of the changes.

The logo colors are changes, as well as nice blue “Google Search” and “I’m Felling Lucky” buttons

And here you can compare how the Google’s landing page was looking few hours earlier.

My favorite so far is very nice sidebar, also newly incorporated into Google’s new design.

I am sure there will be more changes to Google.com, also not sure if this was just a test, or if the new design will “hit” everyone at the same time, however it’s nice to know that changes are indeed coming.
