5 Quick Search Engine Optimization Analyses for WordPress
- In a perfect world content should come first, header 2nd, sidebar 3rd and footer on the end.
- JavaScript (except jQuery) would need to be in footer area.
- No H2 or any other headings in sidebar titles, there should be no importance to that area. <span> will be more that all right, if absolutely needed H3 and bellow is fine.
- Theme speed is very important make sure that it loads fast, this part is the easiest to improve.
- Markup Validation a/k/a clean and proper code does help you maintain quality website.

Can’t agree more with you however not many sites actually validate at all. Is that really that important?
purchased a theme while back that looked great but the codes were all over the place and did all this and beyond by myself over the weekend.
Thanks,
